Our kid’s martial arts programme is designed to help children reach their full potential and grow in confidence and develop self-esteem as well as developing effective self-defence techniques.
We believe that it is important to invest in our children and that the greatest gift anyone could give a child is confidence. We pride ourselves on the high standards of our children’s classes which we run three times’ per week.

Kickboxing combines kicking and punching techniques and is a great work out for the whole body. Benefits include greater flexibility, strength, fitness, co-ordination and stamina. At Athena Martial Arts we offer a kickboxing syllabus from white belt to black belt.
This involves a combination of line work, fitness, focus mitt work, bag work and, at a later grade, sparring. Participants can also compete on the national and international circuit in either points fighting (semi contact) or continuous (light contact) styles.
