All our Athena referees have been trained by WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organisations), professionals.

We referee under new 2016 WAKO Rules for Tatami Sports: Points Fighting / Light Contact / Kick Light   All trainee referees will do a written exam on WAKO Rules for Points Fighting / Light Contact / Kick Light. They will learn how to check fighter’s equipment -Clothing, Jewellery etc They will do Practical Refereeing / Judging on the fighting Area / Tatami, using fighters of different levels.

They will learn the WAKO hand signs and voice commands for ALL WAKO Tatami Sports: Points Fighting -Light Contact -Kick Light
